Vegan Treats part duex

I tried out some vegan recipes this past weekend.  I made vegan brownies, brownie bites, and cupcakes.  I have to say that I barely noticed a difference.  I was totally shocked.  I'm not vegan, or vegetarian...can't give up the meat or the cheese.  I'm addicted!!  I really enjoyed the vegan desserts, and I eat more because they're healthy.  ; )

I decided to try to make some vegan desserts because my boyfriend's nephew is lactose intolerant.  It's no fun for a 6 year old to have to say no to every cupcake that comes through his classroom.  So, I've been using Zeke, and his chocoholic little brother as my taste testers.  So, far it's been a success.  I'm having a tasting party this Friday to try a few new things out, so I should have pictures up next week. 

On another note, I've decided to slow down the Dulce kitchens for now.  We've had a lot of fun over the past year, but studying for the CPA and working full time, plus trying to start a business has taken it's toll.  I'll still be baking and blogging about it.  We're just not going to be selling products on-line.

Happy Mother's Day weekend to all of you mom's out there!  Enjoy your weekend, eat lots of chocolate and have fun with your families.  The ovens at Dulce are full on baking mode for this mother's day.  The results will be posted next week.

Vegan Treats

This weekend I'm working on some vegan items for Dulce.  I'll post them up as soon as I have them, and hopefully I'll be able to get some pictures as well.  I'm hoping to make some tasty treats for my lactose intolerant and vegan friends.  Wish me luck!!

Brownie Bites

Tonight I'm finishing up my new project.  Pics will follow.  They're Blood Orange Double Chocolate dipped in White Chocolate Brownie pop.

I got the blood orange flavoring from Beyond the Olive.  It's  a great store in Pasadena.  If you haven't been there, you should check it out.  http://beyondtheolive.com/
