Brownie Bites

Tonight I'm finishing up my new project.  Pics will follow.  They're Blood Orange Double Chocolate dipped in White Chocolate Brownie pop.

I got the blood orange flavoring from Beyond the Olive.  It's  a great store in Pasadena.  If you haven't been there, you should check it out.  http://beyondtheolive.com/

The owners and employees are really helpful, and the store is fun!

Tonight, I've experienced heaven...

That's right, I've been to heaven and came back to tell you all about it.  Delicious homemade yellow cake with white chocolate cream cheese frosting dipped in dark, bittersweet, or milk chocolate.  One bite and you'll be in heaven too.  I'll be experimenting with flavors in the future, but these little bite-sized cakes can be ordered here.  6 for $12.  Our most popular treat yet.

Hurry before I eat them all!

Truffles! Truffles! Truffles!

Above is the result of my experiment in truffle making.  It was my first time, and I was very nervous.  Luckily, it was a lot of fun.  Time consuming, yes, but I really enjoyed it.  The adventure will continue...
All of the truffles have a vanilla fig balsamic ganache, with a chocolate coating.  I then rolled it either bacon, walnuts, cocoa powder, or coconut. I was worried about the bacon flavoring, but it added a smoky, salty flavor to the chocolate.  Delish!

We're selling them 6 for $18 for one flavor, $22 assorted

Easter Weekend

Time for chocolate, but then again when isn't it time for chocolate? I'll be preparing different flavored truffles this weekend. I'm taking them to my picky taste testors (family, of course!). I'll keep you posted on the outcome. We'll have some up to order next week. Wish me luck!

Here is the outcome of the truffle experiment.  To the left are the vanilla fig balsamic cocoa truffles.  We're selling them 6 for $18, or 6 for $22 if you want assorted flavors.

Thanks to Roger Roddy for the pictures.  If you like what you see, contactdulce@gmail.com for Roger's information.
